Mils Meet Reality

Number 2 Pencil: slamming headfirst into reality
I’ve mused over this idea many times before. Millennials anticipate working for high salaries in stimulating workplaces that provide constant (and positive) feedback, and they plan on significant achievement and advancement in short time periods. Given that Mils are just now beginning to enter the career-focused workforce while Boomers are stretching out the years to retirement, all while U.S. companies ship more and more jobs overseas to China and India, I believe that Millennials will face an extremely harsh job market for the next decade, at a minimum.
The question is, how will the Millennials respond to the first real, significant adversity that they’ve faced in their highly sheltered lives?
