Number 2 Pencil: slamming headfirst into reality

I’ve mused over this idea many times before. Millennials anticipate working for high salaries in stimulating workplaces that provide constant (and positive) feedback, and they plan on significant achievement and advancement in short time periods. The question is, how will the Millennials respond to the first real, significant adversity that they’ve faced in their highly sheltered lives?

Kristof writes at some length about the incredible economic burden the Boomers will be placing on their children, primarily identified as the Millennials. Scary stuff, especially in light of the book by Kotlikoff and Burns.
